My final project: Travelling Stories.
I finally get to know how to create a whole
eTwinning activity. Thanks to everybody involved in it: the teachers who
encouraged me to change things to make a better version of it and the tutors. The activity can be accomplished by students from 4th to 6th grade in Primary School and it can be accomplished in subjects such as English, Spanish and Arts&Crafts. Objectives
1. To establish and strengthen the
mechanisms of collaboration and joint management between both schools
2. To establish and strengthen the
mechanisms of collaboration and joint management among the students in every
school.
3. To use different apps and webs in
order to facilitate collaboration.
4. To understand the writer's job.
5. To write an original tale.
6. To use digital resources to design
and create the tale's characters.
Contents:1. Literature: the tale structure:
introduction, body and ending and how to create the three of them.2. Use of English: past simple, present
simple, past continuous, present continuous. 3. Use of English: vocabulary about
electrical appliance, rural and urban life.Collaborative work and dynamics: To begin with, there is a video about collaborative work the students have to watch. It is in the man's heart (icon) of the landscape in the link below. The work dynamics to guarantee the students develop their collaborative
skills with their classmates and the other school mates is simple: they
have to work in groups of four with four different roles.Group leader:
makes sure that every voice is heard. Focuses work around the learning task. Material Manager:
responsible of the materials they need to do their tasks.Time keeper:
he or she encourages the group to stay on tasks. He or she announces when time
is nearly up. Scribe:
takes notes about every group conclusion they decide. Write down the final
result. Plus, every time the whole class
finishes introduction, body or ending of the tale, they can only continue if
the other school checks the progress. The communication will be able in the
eTwinning platform using tool such as videoconference and chat every week, so they have 5 days for every part of the tale. The dynamics of the activity are explained in the geniel.ly landscape below (common materials). Evaluation: the
evaluation of the process is the same for both school and it is included in the
genial.ly landscape below.Common resources: genial.ly landscape (link below).
