Biografía. Estudié Magisterio de Lenguas Extranjeras (Inglés) porque sabía que el idioma era mi fuerte. Siempre me ha gustado la música en inglés y desde pequeño he estado interesado en saber qué dicen las canciones que escuchaban mis padres. Más adelante me empecé a interesar por personalidades inglesas que veía en la televisión o escuchaba en la radio (Otis Redding, Kathy Griffin, Kristen Wiig, Ellen DeGeneres, Christina Aguilera...) y, tanto quise saber sobre su forma de pensar y expresarse artísticamente, que traducía (gracias a Internet) todo lo que ellos decían en sus películas, canciones o programas de televisión. Cuando tuve que decidir qué estudiar en la universidad, solo pensé que sabía bastante inglés y que mi desempeño como profesor de lenguas extranjeras podría ser útil para otros niños como yo. My final project: Travelling Stories.

I finally get to know how to create a whole eTwinning activity. Thanks to everybody involved in it: the teachers who encouraged me to change things to make a better version of it and the tutors. The activity can be accomplished by students from 4th to 6th grade in Primary School and it can be accomplished in subjects such as English, Spanish and Arts&Crafts.  Objectives 1. To establish and strengthen the mechanisms of collaboration and joint management between both schools 2. To establish and strengthen the mechanisms of collaboration and joint management among the students in every school.  3. To use different apps and webs in order to facilitate collaboration. 4. Improving is fundamental

Based on the draft I made last week, now I improved the activity in many ways. Firstly, I stablished mesurable curricular objectives based on collaborative experiences. 1. To establish and strengthen the mechanisms of collaboration and joint management between both schools. 2. To establish and strengthen the mechanisms of collaboration and joint management among the students in every school.  3. To use different apps and webs in order to facilitate collaboration. Then, I changed the evaluation with rubrics that measure their collaborative skills. My FIRST eTwinning draft!

Hello everybody!   This is the fisrt draft I made about my first eTwinning project. I hope the idea is clear enough for you all to understand. I am looking forward to read your comments about it and, hopefully, improve it! Thank you all!   Adrián Sánchez.

Always in the making

They say we are what we do and not what we say we will do. I have always been amazed by the butterfly effect, not only in life but in education. It is said  that a single occurence, no matter how small , can change the course of the universe forever . We, as teachers, have a tremendous power to change the world. The minds, lifes, feelings and brains of our students depend, partially, on what we say and do. This is the basis for my teaching and everytime I think about what can I do better or how can I improve as a teacher, I repeat this to myself:  lets change the course os the universe for good. We have huge access to different tools, methods, routines, roles, techniques.. So it is only a matter of time we put on our own profesional development in order to get better as professionals. It gets better

As an English teacher in Primary School I have to think about, not only my student's world and society, but the future world and society where my pupils will work, live, love, travel and develop their skills and competences.  eTwinning is, to me, such a great tool for them to conect with diferent parts of the world in order to know their cultures, people and lives thorugh the use of technologies, which are fundamental and such a part of our society nowadays. It is also a great tool to open their minds in a world that begs for open-minded people who respect others no matter how different they are or they look.  I can not wait to learn how to use this platform properly. I can not wait to see my students enjoying eTwinning. Let's start learning! I am sure it can just get better! Adrián Sánchez.
